Product Photography: Final Product Shots

Before taking the product shot of the watch, I had to research how to take a product shot for a watch. I also had to figure out how to take the shot as I have no studio lights or any lamps I could use. I do have a camera that takes shots well in high iso so I can use it to my advantage. I wanted to position the watch on a notepad and have a black background because it would add to the timeless and luxury direction I wanted. I also wanted to experiment with the light positioning as well but I know it would be difficult as I don't have any lights. However, I have a black desk so I decided to use that as my background. I have everything set up expect for the lighting. I researched some more to figure how I can get creative but I decided to use my phone flashlight as this was my only option. I would hold my phone in one hand while holding my camera in the other.  While taking the shots, I found it difficult to get a close up on the watch because it wouldn't focus. T

Product Photography: Propsal

1. For my product, I want to use a watch and create a luxury photo. I have two watches from ASOS so they will be my client. ASOS is an online shopping retailer that sell a wide range of products such as clothes and accessories. 2. The product will be a watch. I have a stainless steel and a brown coloured watch. 3. The target audience is men who are aged between 18-34 years. 4. I would expect to see this online on their website or advertised on other sites. 5. For the lighting, i will be using studio lights to make it a professional photo. ASOS mostly shoot with a white background so i can implement this into my photo. However, to achieve a luxury photo, I will mostly have to shoot with a black background but I can always experiment with both. 6. I want to experiment with a few props. I will try use a black bracelet and a black journal to indicate that the design is timeless and elegant. I'll like to try experiment with some sand or rocks if I can because I think it enhanc

I like this commercial photo because it shows the freshness of water through the movement of the water. I like how this photo was shot and how the lighting plays a big role in creating a rich and luxurious photo. I really like how unique and beautiful this photo looks. I like how it stands out and shows off a timeless watch.

Lab 3

This photo was my favourite that I took in this lab. The flash wasn't overpowering and the exposure was just right. I like this photo as well because the flash is very subtle in this photo so it creates a lot of depth in the photo. I like this photo as well because the lighting is harsh and creates an cool shadow effect.

Lab 2 - Camera Flash

I like how this picture turned out because it's a very subtly taken and looks genuine. The exposure is set nicely as well. I like how the flash on this was used. The room was dark so the flash was the primary source of light. I like this picture as well because the exposure was great and the shadows are very harsh in it.
